The ICF Code of Ethics describes the ICF core values, ethical principles, and ethical standards of behavior for all ICF Professionals (see definitions).

Meeting these ICF ethical standards of behavior is the first of the ICF core coaching competencies (ICF Core Competencies).

"客户"—接受教练服务的个人或团队/小组、接受指导或督导的教练、或接受培训的教练或学员。
"Client"—the individual or team/group being coached, the coach being mentored or supervised, or the coach or student being trained.
"教练"—与客户建立伙伴关系,通过引发思考和创造性的过程,激发他们最大化个人和职业潜能。
"Coaching"—partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.

"Coaching Relationship"—a relationship that is established by the ICF Professional and the client(s)/sponsor(s) under an agreement or contract that defines the responsibilities and expectations of each party.

As an ICF Professional, I:
1、在开始或正式确认教练关系之前,确保我的客户和赞助方理解教练合作的性质、保密条款和限制、财务安排以及其他教练服务协议中的条款。
Before beginning or formally confirming the coaching relationship, I ensure my clients and sponsors understand the nature of coaching, confidentiality and its limitations, financial arrangements, and other terms of the coaching agreement.
2、制定清晰的协议,并尊重客户和赞助方之间在教练关系中的角色、责任和权利。
Create clear agreements and honor all roles, responsibilities, and rights of the client and sponsor in the coaching relationship.
3、保持最严格的保密性,明确沟通并执行所有与客户和赞助方信息相关的保密协议。
Maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality with all client and sponsor information unless release is required by law.
4、对客户和赞助方信息保持清晰、恰当和符合文化习惯的界限。
Maintain clear, appropriate, and culturally sensitive boundaries with clients and sponsors.
5、不与现有客户发生任何性或浪漫关系。如果我与潜在客户或现有客户有性或浪漫关系,我将寻求专业支持来作出适当决定,必要时终止教练关系,维持专业关系。
Not enter into a sexual or romantic relationship with current clients or sponsors. I will be alert to the possibility of potential sexual intimacy with the aforementioned parties and take appropriate action to address the issue or cancel the engagement.
6、尊重客户自主决定和作出自己选择的权利。
Respect the client's right to terminate the coaching relationship at any point during the process, subject to the provisions of the agreement.
7、如果我认为客户或赞助方可能从其他教练服务或资源中获益,我会建议他们进行相应的改变。
Advise clients to make a change if I believe they would be better served by another coach or resource.
第二部分:职业表现与行为 / Section 2: Professional Conduct and Performance
作为ICF专业人士,我应:

Adhere to the ICF Code of Ethics in all interactions, including both verbal and written communication.

Be aware of my personal limitations or circumstances that may impair my coaching performance and take appropriate action. When necessary, I will promptly determine whether to adjust, suspend, or terminate my coaching services.

As an ICF Professional, I:

Identify and accurately state my coaching qualifications, level of coaching competency, expertise, experience, training, certifications and ICF Credentials.

Make truthful and accurate verbal and written statements about what I offer as an ICF Professional, what I am offering as a coach, and what coaching can do.
3、向那些可能从教练过程中受益的人传达和宣传ICF专业教练的价值。
Communicate and promote the value of professional coaching to those who might benefit from the coaching process.
4、清晰地区分我作为教练的角色与其他类型的服务角色(如咨询、心理治疗、辅导等)。
Clearly distinguish between my role as a coach and other service providers (consulting, psychotherapy, counseling, etc.).
5、确保我的培训广告和推广材料准确地描述ICF认可的项目。
Ensure that my training advertisements and promotional materials accurately describe ICF approved programs.
6、不故意对ICF提供虚假或误导性信息。
Not knowingly make untrue or misleading statements to ICF.
7、不利用与ICF的关系来获取不当或未经授权的个人、专业或经济利益。
Not exploit any aspect of the relationship with ICF for inappropriate or unauthorized personal, professional, or monetary gain.

Inform coaches, trainers, and supervisors about how they will maintain, store, and use the data gathered for ICF credential, mentoring, or supervision purposes.
